However, I'm knocking off a star for the unprofessional older man at the entrance (the infamous "Roy" I believe he was). We asked a simple question on parking, he laughed and didn't make eye contact as he pointed and rambled something I couldn't make out.
This is an expansive park tucked away in the back of Trophy Club. There's a boat ramp and other places to launch smaller craft, picnic areas, a disc golf course, and the main attraction of a large off road area for dirtbikes and small vehicles. There are a few walking trails but not all of them are maintained well or go anywhere. Please respect locals and drive the speed limit through the residential areas nearby.
This is a beautiful sprawling park with everything you could ask for in the way of hiking trails, boating, fishing, bird watching, horseback riding trails, motor cross trails, wildlife viewing, frisbee golf, photography opportunities, etc. I would say there’s something for everyone. The trails are well maintained and easy to follow either by the maps that are usually available at the various entrances or on Google maps. Sunrise to sunset, there’s something for everyone.
I've come here so many times I can't even keep count, I've always gone to the motocross trails on my dirt bike and they're awesome! Place is always clean and well maintained. BUT last time I came this guy named "Roy" gave me a hard time over someone giving me a ride back to my truck because my bike blew up! Someone needs to do something about this guys attitude sometimes. Other than that place is awesome
Always love taking the kids for a hike and some good outdoor time. Wish you could camp overnight
The park itself is great and the frisbee golf is pretty wild. I'll be back for that alone.
